Even with all of the automation in today’s complex manufacturing systems, there are still processes that are best accomplished with a manual assist.  Regardless of the amount of automation in your system, Adaptive Systems has the experience to work with your company to identify and implement actions within your process that take care of ergonomic issues.

 Equipment Failure

Ideally automation equipment will never fail; it is however inevitable that any mechanical equipment will require servicing or have an unforeseen failure causing lack of production. Manual backup systems can be an inexpensive and reliable way to provide production throughput on critical manufacturing processes.

  • Manual backup systems that can easily be brought on line in the event of an automated equipment failure
  • In-line lift assists and tool balancers to speed up processes
  • In-line lift assists to ease operator fatigue and injury

Manual Lift Assists

Manual lift assists allow operators to interface with the automation process and allow operators to handle heavy or awkward parts that otherwise can cause injury or fatigue.

Tool Balancers

Tool balancers are a great way to improve throughput by relieving the strain and stress of holding a heavy tool without support. Automation and quality check can also be added into these systems including, metering systems to measure and report dispensed amounts of material or automatic torque to specification and torque data monitoring and collection.
